I feel horrible that not only have I neglected to work on this page but I’ve gone quite a while without any thoughthead.com updates as well.
I’ve been unholy busy with nintendo-scene, my real job, and trying to get my car situation settled and most of the free time I have on top of that has been going towards playing Halo 3, just because I need some time to unwind.
So here’s what’s gone on:
The Car Situation: I bought a White 1999 Toyota Tacoma… I sold my Black 1994 Toyota Pickup, I’ve been working on fixing up the Red 1995 240sx for sale (still not finished) and just Saturday I picked up a Black 1995 240sx. So I’ve still got to finish working on the red one, put that up for sale once it’s ready, register/inspect/title the black one then it’s getting a new exhaust put on and once the red one is sold the black one is getting an SR20DET.
The Thoughthead Situation: I’ve got a total of 7 inquiries from people interested in writing for thoughthead. I’ve given every one of them the necessary tools and all of the information they need. All they need to do is write something, and so far not a single one of them has written anything (with the exception of the one random article by Ackerhack before my public request for new writers).
Half of the reason I haven’t written anything is due to other convictions and the other half is that I haven’t really been inspired by the industry lately. I’ve actually debated not writing anything until at least one other person steps up to the plate. I actually wrote a piece for last week about the different methods of achievement cheating how to tell when someone is using which method and how most people justify their use. due to an error on my part I lost 80% of the article (which was probably one of my longer pieces) and I was just too frustrated with the situation to re-write it. I wasn’t really into the topic anyway since I feel I write too much about Xbox Live and achievements, either that or Sony’s Problems. At least the Sony articles tend to get a lot of press.
Thoughthead’s traffic is probably dwindling at this point anyway…
To help free up time for other stuff I’ve been trying to find people to help pickup some of my tasks on nintendo-scene. With that done and the car situation settling down, hopefully I’ll have more time for creating and less time needed for maintaining.
I also go another inquiry about SMF Commenter so it got me motivated to finish up the SMF commenter page here. Now I can just point people to that link when they ask me about it.
